‘Shop’ was a collaborative installation in a empty shop premises in Dublin’s Docklands.

Mongrel Foundation is a loosely fitting collective of visual artists based in Dublin, Ireland, with five core members who collaborate with other artists, designers and musicians on projects from time to time.

The collective was initially founded as a means to investigate how a number of artists with differing methodologies approach a set of preconditions collectively or more specifically, to observe how and to what extent a group of artists expand can their practices when approaching briefs collectively. Projects are researched as a unit and then developed individually before exhibition, at which point all works are combined and displayed as one singularly authored and installed artwork.
